PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Scott and Katie Beardsley, seeking a variation from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 3842 as it pertains to permitted locations of fences in residential zoning districts. 

Section 3-3-B: (2) prohibits fences from being constructed beyond a line extended from the nearest front corner of the principal building located on an adjacent single-family residential lot. The petitioners are requesting to install a six (6’) foot high wood fence which will extend approximately fifteen (15’) feet beyond the nearest front corner of the principal structure on the adjacent single-family residential lot to the north at 833 Crest Avenue.
