Elk Grove Village is hosting a Paint & Motor Oil Collection Event!  This event is limited to Elk Grove residents. IDs will be checked and business items will not be accepted.   

 The following items will be collected at this event:

• Motor Oil - Containers will be emptied at the collection event and returned to residents.
• Anti-Freeze- Containers will be emptied at the event and returned to residents.
• Paint (Latex or Oil) in cans or containers that do not exceed 5 gallon containers. Below are the restrictions for paint collection:
  • Latex, acrylic, & water based paints will be accepted.
  • Oil based, alkyd & flammable paints & stains will be accepted.
  • All paints must be liquid.
  • All containers must be closed & sealed with the product label or a hand-written label.  

Please note that the following items will NOT be accepted at this event:

• Paint thinners, paint remover, or cleaners
• Mixtures of paints with any other chemicals
• Spray paint
• Unlabeled containers
• Adhesives, caulk, roofing compounds, or driveway sealer
• Spackle, sheetrock, or joint compounds
• Any other chemicals, products, or waste other than paints
• Dried paint (cans of dried paint can be disposed of in your curbside waste container!)

PLEASE NOTE--If you are using a mapping tool to find the event location, you must enter the full address--450 E Devon Ave, Elk Grove Village, IL.  The James Paul Petri Public Works Facility is located on Devon Avenue, just west of Tonne Road.
