Attractions in Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village is home to many attractions for fun and relaxation.

While located on land owned by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, the Ned Brown Preserve – also known as Busse Woods – is a 3,700 acre preserve with a 590 acre lake and 11.2 miles of bicycle and running trails. It is said that Busse Woods has more annual visitors than Yellowstone National Park.

Included in the attractions is Elk Grove Park District’s Rainbow Falls Water Park. Visitors of Rainbow Falls are able to enjoy the leisure pool, lazy river, vortex pool, diving board, four giant body slides and much more. There is also a place where toddlers can splash in the tot pool.

The Park District also operates the children’s theme park called Pirates Cove. Pirates Cove has served the children of the community for over 25 years. It features activities such as the Castle of Camelot, a maze of tunnels and slides, giant fun slide, the Safari Express train ride through the Safari, a 20-foot high climbing wall, paddle boats and much more. There is also an authentic 18th century pirate ship for the children to play on.

Finally, Elk Grove Village is also home to Fox Run Golf Links golf course. A beautiful, green, 18 hole course on 124 acres designed to satisfy the competitive spirit of any golfer. The newly renovated clubhouse is a picturesque setting for outings or events and also features a fully stocked Pro Shop and the Fox Den bar and grill.
