Pace provides curb-to-curb Dial-A-Ride bus service within the Village of Elk Grove, excluding the industrial park area.

Residents are encouraged to call one hour in advance of their desired pickup time beginning at 8:30 a.m. Monday to Saturday.  To schedule a pickup or for more information, please call 847-299-6212.

SERVICE NOTE:  If you experience issues getting through to the specific reservation line for Elk Grove at 847-299-6212, please call the regional reservation line at 800-299-0765.

RIDER ID REGISTRATION

All Dial-A-Ride riders must register for the Rider ID system prior to scheduling their first ride.

Registration forms are available at Village Hall front counters. The form can also be downloaded and printed by clicking here or mailed upon request.

Completed registration forms must be returned to Village Hall by:

• Mail to: Village Manager’s Office, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
• In-person to the Administration counter at Village Hall (901 Wellington Avenue, second floor), or
• Fax to 847-357-4022.

Once the form is turned in to Village Hall, it will take approximately 4-5 business days for a registration to be processed and completed. Please fill out one registration form per rider.  

The Rider ID system allows Pace to keep a record of riders’ basic information, emergency contact information, and special accommodations. If there are any issues with the ride, Pace will already have contact information ready to inform the rider(s).

Additionally, the Rider ID system makes it much easier for Pace and the Village to investigate and follow up on any issues reported by Dial-A-Ride customers. 

While residents are required to register for a Rider ID, they do not need to remember their ID number. When calling for service, a resident would only need to provide their first and last name, along with the time and location of pick-up and drop-off.

OPERATING HOURS

FARE (ONE-WAY)

Reduced fare categories include the following:

• Children (11 and under) accompanied by an adult.
• Senior citizens ages 65 and over.
• Persons with disabilities who have an RTA Reduced Fare Card or an RTA ADA Paratransit Services Card
• Students (High School or younger, with proper ID) traveling to or from school only, during school hours.

ADDITIONAL TRANSPORTATION

Another form of transportation within the Village is the Township Bus service.  The Township offices offer limited transportation services to residents ages 65 and older that live within their boundaries.  Please call the Elk Grove Township at 847-437-0300 or the Schaumburg Township at 847-882-1929 for details on this service.
