Our department offers a diverse array of educational programs tailored to meet the unique needs of our community members. From interactive workshops to engaging presentations, we strive to educate individuals of all ages on important topics such as fire safety, emergency preparedness, and injury prevention.
At the forefront of our efforts is our commitment to fire safety and fire prevention. Each of our programs that we offer are specifically designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent fires and respond effectively in the event of an emergency. Through hands-on training, informative resources, and community outreach events, we strive for a culture of safety and vigilance within our community.
Some of the key highlights of the programs offered include:

       • Fire Safety Workshops: Our workshops cover essential topics such as fire prevention tips, creating and                 practicing escape plans, proper use of fire extinguishers, and identifying potential fire hazards in the home           and workplace.
       • CPR and AED Courses: We offer comprehensive CPR and AED training courses to give individuals the life-             saving skills they need in emergency situations.
       • Fire Extinguisher Training: Our hands-on fire extinguisher training sessions provide participants with the               knowledge and confidence to effectively use fire extinguishers to suppress small fires safely.
       • Station Tours for School Groups and Organizations: We welcome school groups, camps, and community               organizations to schedule a visit to one of our fire stations for informative tours, where participants can                 learn about fire station operations, explore fire trucks and ambulances, and engage with our firefighters.

In addition to these programs, we host an Annual Open House during Fire Prevention Week in October. This event provides an opportunity for community members to visit Station 7 (101 Biesterfield), meet our firefighters, and participate in interactive activities and demonstrations, focused on fire safety and prevention.
