PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on August 22, 2019 at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Melissa Redmon for variations from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to permitted locations for fences and pools in residential zoning districts.
Section 3-7:D(4) prohibits pools from being located within any required front yard. The petitioner is requesting a variation to permit the construction of a twenty-one foot (21’) or twenty-four foot (24’) pool located six feet (6’) from the lot line within the required front yard along the North of the property.
Additionally, Section 7A-1:B(2) prohibits fences greater than four feet (4’) in height to be located closer than ten feet (10’) to the street side property line between the front edge of the house and the rear edge of the house and no closer than three feet (3’) to the street side property line between the rear edge of the house and the rear property line. The petitioner is requesting to install a six foot (6’) high privacy fence three feet (3’) from the north property line between the front edge of the house and the rear edge of the house. The proposed fence will be an extension to the existing six foot (6’) high privacy fence on the property.
