MEMORIAL DAY OBSERVANCE
Out of the abundance of caution and in order to prevent, or limit, the potential spread of the coronavirus, the Village will be hosting a video Memorial Day observance this year. Although this ceremony is only once a year, we believe it is an important event and is a necessary tradition to honor those that gave their lives for us to have the liberty and freedoms that we enjoy today.
Residents are invited to view the 22nd annual Memorial Day Observance hosted by Elk Grove Village, with continued support of the American Legion Post 216, VFW Post 9284 and its Ladies Auxiliary. Several traditional speeches will be recorded that will include the flag folding ceremony, a gun salute, and recorded performances by the Elk Grove Village Big Band and the Elk Grove Baptist Choir.
