PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Herbert and Cindy Medlock seeking a variation from the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to permitted locations for fences in residential zoning districts. 

Section 3-7: D(3) prohibits fences from being constructed within the required front yard and beyond a line extended from the nearest front corner of the principal building located on an adjacent single-family residential lot. The petitioner is requesting to install a six (6’) foot high vinyl privacy fence which will extend approximately twenty-three (23’) feet beyond the nearest front corner of the principal structure on the adjacent single-family residential lot to the east at 267 Cosman Road.  This fence is a proposed replacement for the existing six (6’) foot high privacy fence in the same location.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Marc and Lisa Hanlon seeking a variation from the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to permitted locations for fences in residential zoning districts. 

Section 7A-1: B (2) (a) prohibits fences on corner lots not more than four (4’) feet in height to be closer than three (3’) feet to the street side property line, between the front edge of the house and the rear property line. The petitioner is requesting to install a four (4’) foot high open type fence which will extend to the street side property line along Biesterfield Road. The fence will replace an existing four (4’) foot high split rail fence in the same location.
