ZBA Docket #21-5 

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Thomas Krengiel seeking variations from the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to permitted locations for fences in residential zoning districts. 

Section 3-7: D (3) prohibits fences from being constructed within the required front yard and beyond a line extended from the nearest front corner of the principal building located on an adjacent single-family residential lot.  The petitioner is requesting to install a six (6’) foot high fence which will extend approximately twenty (20’) feet beyond the nearest front corner of the principal structure on the adjacent single-family residential lot to the south at 1204 Leeds Lane.  The fence will replace an existing six (6’) foot high wood fence in the same location.

Section 3-7: D (3) also prohibits fences from extending beyond the nearest front corner of the principal building.  The petitioner is requesting to install a six (6’) foot high fence, which will extend approximately fifteen (15’) feet beyond the adjacent front corner of the principal structure. The fence will replace an existing six (6’) foot high wood fence in the same location. The property is located at 501 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois and identified by the following property identification number:
