PC DOCKET #23-3

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, the Plan Commission of the Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, will conduct a public hearing to consider a petition submitted by Elk Grove Park District.  The petitioner is seeking a Special Use Permit for modifications to a Planned Development located at 711 Chelmsford Lane, Marshall Park.  The petitioner is requesting to expand the park and recreational uses by installing a 1/3 mile, 8' wide concrete walking path along with a new playground, basketball court, community splash pad and fitness stations.  Additionally, the park expansion will include a public shelter with picnic tables and two public restrooms.  The property is located at 711 Chelmsford Lane, Elk Grove Village, Illinois and is legally described as follows:

Lot 6 in Elk Grove Village Section 16, being a subdivision in the South 1/2 of Section 29, Township 41 North, Range 11, east of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.

All persons interested are invited to attend and will be given the opportunity to be heard.  This hearing will be accessible to individuals with disabilities.  Persons requiring accommodations are requested to contact the Village Clerk at (847) 357-4042, preferably no later than five days before the hearing.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the hour of 7:15 p.m., the Elk Grove Village Plan Commission acting as a Zoning Commission, will conduct a Public Hearing at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois to consider a text amendment to the following sections of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to uses in the B-5 Town Center Shopping District.

Amend Section 7B-5-2: C (1) Conditional Uses Permitted by removing Automobile related retail and service facilities and Drive-through facilities.
Amend Section 7B-5-2: D Special Uses by adding Drive-through facilities.
