PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-2:D of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village, will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Donald Dixon, Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. representing Equinix, seeking variations from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 as it pertains to permitted number of buildings, allowable building height, number of loading spaces, and height of fences in industrial zoning districts.
Section 3-6 (B): Principal Buildings, Principal Structures and Accessory Structures: specifies that unless part of a Planned Development project, one and only one principal building or principal structure shall be erected on any lot of record on any conforming lot. The petitioner is requesting to have two (2) principle structures on one (1) consolidated lot.
Section 7-1: specifies that in the I-2 Zoning District, the Maximum Height of Buildings and Structures is sixty (60’) feet. The petitioner is requesting an increase in allowable building height from sixty (60’) feet to sixty-four (64’) feet.
Section 4-4-1: specifies the number of off-street loading spaces that shall be provided, plus an area or means adequate for maneuvering, ingress and egress. The petitioner is requesting a reduction in the required number of loading spaces from five (5) to three (3).
Section 7E-9 (A): states that no fences shall be erected in excess of six (6') feet above ground level along the boundary line of a lot or within required open space areas. The petitioner is requesting an increase fence height from six (6’) feet to eight (8’) feet.
