Pre-Annexation Agreement Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PRE-ANNEXATION AGREEMENT BY THE 
ELK GROVE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 6:45 p.m., the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, in the Council Chambers of the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, will hold a public hearing pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-15.1-3, to consider a pre-annexation agreement regarding the property located at 533 Ridge Avenue, located in Branigar’s Forest View Homesites, in unincorporated Cook County, Illinois; and thereafter, at a regular meeting of the Village Board, will consider the approval of said pre-annexation agreement and the passage of an ordinance authorizing the annexation of said property to the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

The property which is the subject of the pre-annexation agreement and potential annexation is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village and not within the corporate boundaries of any municipality and consists of approximately .47 acres located in unincorporated Cook County, and is identified and legally described as follows:

LOT 134 IN BRANIGAR’S FOREST VIEW HOMESITES, A SUBDIVISION OF PART OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
CONTAINING 20,624 SQUARE FEET (0.47 ACRES) OF LAND, MORE OR LESS.  
COMMONLY KNOWN AS:  533 RIDGE AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL 60007
 
Pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance of the Elk Grove Village Code, the above-described property shall be zoned R-3 Single Family Residence District.  An accurate map of the subject property proposed to be annexed to the Village and the form of the proposed pre-annexation agreement are on file with the Village Clerk and may be inspected during regular business hours.  You are further notified that the form of the proposed pre-annexation agreement may be changed, altered, modified, amended or redrafted in its entirety after the public hearing. 

All persons appearing at said public hearing will be afforded an opportunity to be heard.  Written comments may be submitted to the attention of the Village Clerk, c/o Elk Grove Village Hall, at the address aforesaid or by email at lmurphy@elkgrove.org, and will be considered if received at least five (5) days prior to the hearing.  Such public hearing may be continued from time to time by the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Elk Grove Village without further notice, except as may be required by the Illinois Open Meetings Act.
