PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-3-C of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village, will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of Eric Tracy, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., seeking variations from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 3842 as it pertains to permitted locations of a fence and the minimum size of a building in the Industrial Zoning Districts.

Section 3-3-A (2): specifies that fences shall not be constructed in any front yard or in front of the principal structure. The petitioner is requesting to place a fence around the perimeter of the property for security purposes. Due to the nature of the property and the location of the existing and proposed building, a majority of the fence will be required to be located in the front yard ahead of the principal structure. 

Section 7-1: specifies that in the I-2 Zoning District, the Minimum Building Size is the greater of 25% of Lot Area or 5,000 square feet. The lot size is approximately 83,200 square feet requiring a minimum building size of 20,800 square feet. The petitioner is requesting a reduction in the minimum allowable building size to 6,790 square feet, which is a 67.5% reduction in the minimum required building area. The current building size at this location is approximately 14,200 square feet.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-3-C of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village, will conduct a public hearing at the hour of 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to consider the petition of David Wojcik, seeking a variation from the provisions of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 3842 as it pertains to permitted locations for structures in yards in residential zoning districts.

Section 3-2-D: (1) prohibits any principal and attached accessory structure to be in any required yard setback. The petitioner is requesting to install a covered front porch which will extend approximately nine (9’) feet into the required twenty-five (25’) foot front yard setback.
