The following community programs are offered by the Elk Grove Village Police Department:

Elk Grove Village Cares - A community-based strategy to tackle opioid addiction, help those in need and make our community stronger, safer and healthier.

CERT Community Emergency Response Team - A program to provide citizens with the basic skills required to handle virtually all their own needs and then be able to respond to their community’s needs in the aftermath of a disaster.

Crime Free Multi-Housing Program - A program designed to enable tenants, owners, and managers of rental properties to reduce activities on their property which negatively impact quality of life.

Neighborhood Watch Program - Resident meetings, group contact network for important information

Neighbors App by Ring - Connects neighbors and provides a space to exchange information on suspicious activities, crimes, and other alerts

Project Help Program - A program that helps first responders in identifying and helping at risk individuals who may be suffering from medical conditions or mental health issues.

Bike Registration Program - A program that helps us identify a lost or stolen bike, residents are encouraged to stop by the Police Department anytime to register their bike.

Character Counts - Foot Rally, Annual Celebration of Character Event, and attending meetings

Security Surveys - Residential, commercial and industrial property surveys

Carrier Watch - collaborative program with Elk Grove Village Post Office to check on well-being of participants

Citizens Police Academy - 8 week academy where residents get a glimpse into the duties

Tours - Police Department tours conducted for various groups

CPTED - Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design parents
