In order to continue to qualify for future grant funding to support improvements to the Village's bicycle network, the routes shown in the Village's Bike Plan must be kept up to date. The Elk Grove Village Bicycle Plan Task Force was reconvened to update proposed routes, and public input was solicited through an interactive online map as well as an open house held in August of 2021.  

On January 25, 2022, the Village Board officially adopted the Bicycle Plan Route Update, which better reflects existing, planned, and future projects in our community. These proposed changes will help the Village qualify for future grant funding which helps support improvements to the Village bicycle network.
