As a member of the Cadet Program, you will: 

• train with Elk Grove Village Firefighters
• gain an understanding of the field of firefighting as a whole
• experience a taste of the day-to-day life of a Firefighter/Paramedic 
• ride along to observe calls (where appropriate, after 12 sessions) 
• attend and assist with Department events
