Criminal Investigations Section

The Criminal Investigations Section is part of the Support Services Division. The Criminal Investigations Section is led by Sergeant Mike Carlson and staffed by six (6) investigators. The Criminal Investigations Section works to apprehend, investigate, and prosecute criminal offenders through conducting thorough criminal investigations. Also, this section is responsible for conducting follow-up investigations, background checks of fire and police applicants, and liquor license verification.

Youth Investigations Section

The Youth Investigations Section is part of the Support Services Division. The Youth Investigations Section is led by Sergeant Shaun Berens and staffed by five (5) investigators.  The Youth Investigations Section works to divert youths from delinquent behavior and investigates all criminal/delinquent offenses committed by or against youths.  This section maintains liaison with local schools, agencies, and other resources that provide services for youths. Also, the Youth Investigations provides specialized and technical support to all other sections within the department and assists criminal investigations as needed.
